Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long will the Blue Champion series be?
A: There are four sections to the story: The Blue Champion, The Green Champion, The Red Champion and the Black Champion.
Q: In what order should I read the "Second Contact" series?
A: Each "Second Contact" is a self-contained story. None of the characters or plotlines transfer over from one to another, so they can be read in any order.
Q: You should write more Dark Moonlighting books.
A: Hey! That's a statement, not a question. I guess I'll respond to it anyway though. Right now I like the series as it is, but it is possible that I will revisit Nick Whittier's universe in the future.
Q: I've noticed the main character in a lot of your books is named Nick. What's that about?
A: I was writing a short story in high school and needed a name for my main character. At the time it seemed like every book I read or movie I saw had a "Nick" in it like Val Kilmer's character in Top Secret! and the narrator from The Great Gatsby. I used "Nick" for that writing assignment, then for a novella I wrote and then for my first novel. After that it became a running gag to use that name whenever I could.
Q: What are some of your favorite books?
A: Alicia: My Story by Alicia Appleman-Jurman, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore, The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, anything by Kurt Vonnegut or Tom Clancy
